Conair Gel and Lather Heating System Won’t Leave You Cold

Good value for the price

This is my husband’s second Conair heated shaving cream dispenser, the first one stopped working suddenly after daily use for several years. At this price, we purchased a few for back up when the next one breaks. SO far so good, this one is working well. This item is hard to find anywhere, sometimes stores will sell during the holidays but he could not wait so Amazon came through.

Product Features

  • Warm lather gives you a smooth, comfortable shave
  • Works with virtually all national brands of foam or gel in 7-oz. or 10-oz. cans
  • Adjustable heat control
  • Red LED indicator light lets you know when foam/gel is ready

Not only it used up almost the whole bottle of gel, it was obviously not usable. The customer service was really good though: they responded to my email the same day and told me to throw it away. They reimbursed me…

Disappointment I have used Conair hot lather machines in past years and was quite pleased with them; not so concerning this model, HGL11 Combo Hot Gel/Lather Machine w/Chrome Finish. First, chrome is a metal; this device is made of plastic, just as the black colored model is. I don’t believe this “chrome appearance” justifies the higher price. More importantly, the machine only moderately heats up the lather – and takes a long time to do THAT (same results using gel). I waited from 6 to 10 minutes. After one…
