Excellent quality I’m so glad I spent the extra money on this. I just used it today for the first time and it allowed me to whip up a great lather in no time. The mug has a very refined look about it and I think the ivory color is the most elegant. It doesn’t show dried cream as the black one might. I thought the squarish shape at the bottom of the mug would be less than ideal, but as it turns out, it gave me a good grip when I held it from beneath (when not using the handle). Truly, A Gentleman’s Shaving Bowl. For my recent birthday, my wife bought me an EJ best badger brush (great product). I liked it so much, that I bought an EJ DE89L (also a great product) and this shaving bowl to go with it. Boy, am I glad I did. The bowl looks fabulous and has a very nice heft to it. Mixing up really good lather is a breeze and relatively quick. Being made of porcelain, the bowl retains heat nicely, and the handle is sturdy as well.
