I originally greased up with Murray’s Superior but that stuff murders my pillowcases. Making the transition to a water-soluble product with Imperial has been pretty seamless. I like to towel-dry my hair and then get a nice wad of this in. Combing is effortless and my hair almost pomps up on its own.     Great, but more like gel than pomade. I’ve used this for a day and love it so far. Some things worth noting:1. By firm hold, they mean gel-like hold. Your hair isn’t going anywhere with this stuff in. Coming from medium hold pomade to this stuff was quite a change. Don’t expect to need a comb or brush all day because they won’t go through your hair once it’s dried. BELIEVE ME.2. It foams like soap when it comes in contact with water.
