One would not think it, but this item is quite effective in cleaning and sharpening multi-blade razors. I also bought a SAB001 Save A Blade Automatic Razor Sharpener, for it is battery powered. This product is more effective than the battery powered Save – A – Blade. It’s easy to use, wet the surface, soap and a few swipes to sharpen, and to clean, merely rinse. I’d recommend this product, as it will save you time and money.

Just barely worth the price I paid, but not a penny more This is a nice take on a traditional strop. I like the concept and it does seem to work fairly well, not amazing, but noticeable. I get about 8 more shaves on average per razor since buying this in February, so about an additional week’s use per cartridge. I shave against the grain (always have) and have moderately coarse, extremely fast growing facial hair. It is not unheard if for me to shave twice per day if I have an evening event. I also shave my head, so I’m pretty tough on blades and…
Does a solid job – Sharpens my Mach III blades and saves me money I finally had had it with Gillette. $18 for 8 Mach 3 blades and I figured there’s gotta be some way to make these blades last longer to save money. So I took a chance and bought this blade sharpener. Well it certainly does the job. When my blade gets dull, I cover the sharpener with a little foam (as per the instructions) then glide the blade on it four times and voila I’m back to about 80% as sharp as when I first used the blade. I’ve been using it for 4 weeks now and haven’t had to change a…
