    Nice look; feels pretty solid; but average in performance & value This is a “dressed up” version of the Wahl “LifeProof” shaver (which I also reviewed). It has a more upscale look and feel to it, plus adds a battery gauge to show the charge level. However, the shave quality is the same – OK, but not a standout.The case feels more solid than the LifeProof and, while it’s more of a traditional look, I think they did a nice job with the overall aesthetics.     I’ve had 3 Wahl shavers over the last 25 years. The last one did not have a trimmer for side burns which I missed. The new model comes with one. This one is a wet/dry while my current one is dry only.The new model recharges in 5 minutes in an emergency but generally an hour is sufficient. If you want to extend the life of the shaver like I have, shave with it plugged in and then let it charge for a couple more hours. And if you use it in Europe with a converter, the 220v…
